大家聽到馬鈴薯湯時,覺得這湯會長怎樣？
我一開始在德國聽到Kartoffelsuppe時,我以為是清湯配馬鈴薯塊～沒想到看到的是馬鈴薯泥濃湯配上香腸/肉類/蔬菜等配料耶！這道湯品可以當作主餐吃,因為湯本身很濃郁很有奶味,加上又是澱粉類馬鈴薯,所以我吃一碗就飽了哈哈,超級好吃的 <3
*在英文與德文裡,大家說 "吃"湯,台灣人卻說"喝"湯～這是我覺得學語言時非常有趣的地方,我們覺得因為是液態湯所以用喝的,他們覺得裡頭有東西要用吃的哈哈哈

What do you think a potato soup look like?
At the beginning I thought it's a light and clear soup with potato cubes. In Germany it's like a chowder with sausages/ veggies/ meat, etc. Ppl here eat it as a main dish becuz it's very rich, creamy and with potatoes. I can only eat one bowl of it.
*One reason why I think learning languages is interesting is that sometimes the same thing or situation is described by words with different meanings in two different languages. In English and German ppl say eat a soup. In Chinese we say drink a soup. There is stuff in a soup that you need to eat and chew, so they say eat a soup. For Taiwanese, we think a soup is liquid so we drink a soup :P
